How Forma handles your image while turning it into an SVG.
Last updated: August 12, 2026
Website delivery
Opening Forma contacts its hosting provider for the page, scripts, font, and WebAssembly files.
Your image is processed in this browser
Forma loads its application code and WebAssembly from this website, then traces PNG and JPEG files in a Web Worker in your browser.
Forma does not upload your source image or generated SVG to a tracing API. Your image, filename, settings, and generated SVG are held for the open page session.
- Reloading or closing the page clears Forma’s working session.
- Files you download or copy are then controlled by your browser and device.
Ordinary website requests still happen
Vercel receives ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the website, such as the requested URL, time, IP address, browser information, and security signals. Meridian does not use that delivery path as a tracing service.
The current Forma web app does not require an account, load product analytics, or send product analytics events. This notice will be updated before those facts change.
Clipboard, downloads, and links
Copy SVG writes the result to your system clipboard. Export SVG asks your browser to download a local file. Following a link to Meridian, Gesso, Vercel, or your email app is governed by that destination’s privacy practices.
